Sydney's Style

Hello and good morning..

Today I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog.
I'm not sure about you, but my daughter is at the age when she is enjoying clashing her clothing styles to make a statement. In fact, she never wears matching socks, they always have to mismatch. We were out and about and she kinda just threw everything on, and this photo defiantly sums up her style sometimes.

I used Fancy Pant's Trendsetter collection, which seems to work for any kind of themed page. I LOVE how versatile the line is!!!!
I used the Price Tag sheet and cut it up, and then just added tags through out the layout:
The sticker embelliesh are lots of fun from the line:
I added twine to the tags for a bit of texture....
I think this may be an ALL time FAVE from Fancy Pants!!!! make sure to check out the store for the Trendsetter collection HERE....

Have a good one...

Hello and good morning...

Happy Saturday and man am I excited about a LONG weekend!!! totally ready for it and ready for some relaxing!!!

I just wanted to share a layout and a card that I got done earlier this month and haven't posted.

First Snow, I took these photos of my lil sweetie and her first experience in the snow back in March when we were up in SLC, I used the Scrapbook Circle May kit and sketch for it:
I used lots of the LilyBee sticker shapes through out the page and the cute Amy Tan "city girl" embellie that matched the layout colors:

Hello card: using the May Practical Scrappers sketch:
I'm not an orangey person, but I just LOVE the coloro combo and blue and orange together.

Hope you are having a great weekend.. Stay safe...

Trouble.

Hello and good afternoon...

Up on the Child's Play Challenge blog, the latest inspiration photo is about a fun childhood game... TROUBLE.
and here is what I came up with:
I misted some white on the black and used mainly Glitz goodies..
Here is my title, it's a long one "Don't let the cute faces fool ya, they are TROUBLE"
I made a faux polariod photo with my picture mounting it on cardstock and then added a banner to it:
I'm also playing along with Simon Says Take A Picture challenge, due to my faux Polaroid photo.

Hope you play along, I'm sure you have some photos with lots of trouble going on.. LOL!!
Have a good one..

Summer Love.

Hello and good morning...

Today I am sharing a page with you that is pretty much covered in flowers and tons of patterns... even a few mixed matched chevrons. I LOVE the colors of Sydney's new bathing suit and it's been matching perfectly with lots of the latest release papers, so I know I'll be scrapping tons of her this summer. These were taken of the first swim of this year at my sister's house for my nephew's bday.
I added a bit of stitching across the title, and several arrows on stickers to make them pop out.
I also added a fun lil bow on the page, just to make it a bit more girlie... I wasn't sure at first where or how to add them to my page.
I used the Crafty Steals sketch for this layout.

Happy Hump day!!!!

Buds.

Hello and good morning...

Today I am over on the My Scraps & More blog sharing a layout I  made and actually got quite a bit messy with. I used Echo Park's All About a Boy collection for it.
First I took a mask and some Gesso, which I have only recently finally gotten into using. I painted the mask and let it dry. Next I just moved the mask over a bit and then misted with some blue to add more texture to the page.
I punched out stars with the orange paper and used some of the MME enamel dots through out the page.
I also distressed most of my edges and added some stitching too.
Some times it's kinda fun to get down and dirty on your layout...

Have a good one...

A Handstitched title

Hello and good evening...

Man has it been a Monday.. that's all I'm saying.. LOL!!!

Today on the Practical Scrappers blog, it's all about hand stitching. Unfortunately it's not a technique that I do often enough. I LOVE LOVE how it looks, but I get lazy about getting out my sewing goods and adding the personal touch.

For this layout I hand stitched the title: Cutie @ 1.
 and here's the title upclose:
I used the Fancy Pants Trend Setter collection for this page, and added a fun lil cluster in the corner:

Hope ya have a wonderful night...

It's All About the Red, White and Blue

Hello and good evening...

Today has been the perfect Sunday day... pretty lazy, I spent it with family, I got a nap in and a walk in... then had a BBQ dinner and homemade chocolate chip cookies.. doesn't get better than that!!

Up on the Just Imagine Crafts blog, it's all about red, white, and blue in honor of the holiday coming up. I went with an all american theme, baseball... esp since Austin is in baseball season right now, and those colors are great to create a sports page with.

I mixed and matches several lines, papers, manufacturers, everything.. LOL...
I went with a lighter, softer shade of blue for the page, and accented it in navy
I used the Kreaxions Punch #907  on the patterned paper and then layered on top of it.
Stars and banners seem to make the perfect accents on sports pages..
How will you be spending your holiday next weekend???

Have a great one...

Day 139: Super Sketchy Sunday

Hello and good morning...

Another quick week has gone by and ready to hopefully take it easy a bit today. Sunday means a new week and a new sketch from 365 Cards Challenge Blog.

Here is my card for this week:
I decided I needed some extra guy bday cards on hand, I seem to be short on them lately.
Here is the sketch for Day 139 :
I also played along with the Inspired By #75, and was inspired by the distressing aspect of the photo:

Don't forget to stop by the other DT's blog and see their super sketchy sunday work:

Simpsons Fun

Hello and good morning...

Today I am sharing a layout about a fun tradition we've been doing with the kids. Every time Jeremy has a meeting at Fox Studios (only a couple times a year), he always picks up two of the mystery Simpsons boxes and brings them home for the kids. You never know which characters you are going to get. The kids love to figure out which box to pick. So each time I always take a picture with the characters they end up with.

Here is a photo from the last time they got em:
I used Fancy Pants Trendsetter collection for this page, I am VERY much lovin it still.
Here's my "boy":
and here's my "girl":
I used the Practical Scrappers May layout sketch from Liz, which was amazing this month:
you can see how the other designers used the sketch...

Hope ya have a great one!!!
