Play and Water Fun & a Winner

Hello and good morning...

Today I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog.
If you haven't gotten a chance to check out the Spring into Summer Crop that is going on right now over in the My Scraps & More forum.. you better get over there and check it out.

For my summer challenge, I wanted to do something with water. Summer to me is all about getting wet, staying cool, and relaxing in water. Anything from the pool, to going to the beach, or just running in the sprinklers. For this page I focused on water and blues:
I used the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss and pulled all the blues out of it.
I also used blue misting to create a "watery" feel.

For my Spring Challenge, I went with the idea of something NEW and something OLD. Spring is always about new growth and new beginnings, and at the same time, leaving the OLD melting snow, and long days.
This photo of Austin, the one with the sun glare on it, is one of my FAVES from last season. I just LOVE the kind of "dreamy" feel of it.
I used the Simple Stories Urban Traveler Collection, on a non travel page. I thought the patterns and colors were perfect for a sports page. I LOVE using themey papers with NON themed photos.
Make sure to join us at the crop, it's not too late.

Also I have a winner from the My Scraps & More blog hop from last week...

Random org choose this winner:

Fabulous job Wendi. I love what you did with the layout. I have been a follower of yours.

GDTproject for Just Imagine Crafts

Hello and good afternoon...

Today is my last day up as a GDT over at the Just Imagine Crafts blog. I've really enjoyed being able to work with their punches and share some of my projects using them.

For today's project, I used my 907 4 in 1 punch to punch out a border strip.
I saved the left over triangle shapes from punching my border strip to use on my page for later:

Here is my finished layout:
I use the leftover triangles and layered them to create an arrow focal point leading up to the word strip:
I also used my circle cutter to cut out half circles and added them to the top and bottom part of the layout:
Thanks for letting me share with you today.....

Day of Love

Hello and good evening...

I am sharing with you a layout of my lil sister's wedding back from last September... I know I have scrapped SEVERAL photos from it, but I took soooo many photos, they never end.. LOL

Here is a page:
I used the Practical Scrappers April layout sketch for it.
I added a couple of border punches, and some stitching..
and used several wood pieces:
Here is the sketch in case you get the chance to play along:
Hope your weekend is going great...

i Love you.

Hello and Happy Saturday!!!!

It's finally the weekend, and we only have one game to be at today and then off to a family birthday celebration..

Today I am sharing a page that I created to play along with the Inspiration Elevator challenge #12. The challenge was to pick a DT member and lift their page.

I chose to lift my scrappy buddy Lisa M. She always has lots of stitching, some paint splats, an embellie cluster, and fairly clean style. So here is my page:
I added some stitching:
some paint splats:
my cluster:
and here is Lisa's page that I lifted, from this post:
Thanks Lisa for the inspiration...

Happy Saturday to you all...

Summer Days

Hello and good morning...

Today I'm up over on the Original Scrapbook USA Expo blog sharing with you a summery layout. I was super excited to get to play with one of Fancy Pant's latest lines... Down By The Shore.  This line totally screams my name. I'm a summer chick, a beach lover, and water kind of gal. The fun patterns in this line are super playful.

For my layout, I used Brag Pad, which is a 6x6 mini album that you could almost use by itself to add pictures and journaling. I decided to tear out some of the pages and used them as papers on my page.
I also used the sticker fundamentals for my alphas on the title work.
I used a couple of the tape strips and the label stickers through out my page.
And how fun is this lil guy??? I fussy cut him out of one of the pages.
This line is perfect for all those summer photos you'll be taking soon enough.

Have a great day...

Other supplies used: Mister Huey mists, machine sewing, pop dots, and Sharpie pen.

Sisters. My Scraps & More sketch #26

Hello and happy Friday...

Today is Friday and that also means the Spring into Summer crop is going on over at the My Scraps & More forum... so make sure to head over and check it out.

But today Tammi has a wonderful new sketch up on the My Scraps & More sketch blog to play along with.

Here's my layout with it:
I used the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss line which is perfect for this girlie page. Sydney was holding Chorley and playing with her, it was super cute. It's sooo fun to watch the kids play with Chorley and interact with her.
I layered on the sticker strips :
and distressed and added some stitching..
Here is the sketch:
To win the April prize of the "Sweet Notes" papers by Webster's Pages, complete at least one layout from sketches 23. 24. 25.or 26. The deadline to complete and link up your page for this sketch is May 2, 2013.

Watching You Play

Hello and Happy Hump Day!!!

I think Wednesdays are becoming a new favorite day for me.. Not because it's usually my laundry day, which takes ALL day long.. ( I only do laundry for everyone once a week, unless an emergency comes up) but because of Survivor!!! we are soooo hooked and this season has had some amazing tribal councils!!!

Here is a layout that I got done yesterday. My little one is playing with her toy station and just totally entertained by it:
totally in her own lil world, I LOVE to watch her during these moments
I punched several circles and just scattered them through out the page. Also using up my Crate's Emma's Shoppe line.
I played along with the Scrapbook Steals Amber sketch #9.
and playing along with the Boys Rule challenge to use at least  5 PPs on a layout.

so are YOU watching Survivor this season? who do you want to win?
Have a good one...

You Melt My {heart}

Hello and good morning.

Today I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog.
One of the lines that I drooled over ever since CHA releases was the Fancy Pants Park Bench collection. I  was instantly drawn to everything about it. Most of the time I love BOLD patterns and colors, but every now and again and softer collection calls to me.

I created this page of me holding my lil one, who was in the ER at the time, and had finally fallen asleep. I asked my husband to take a couple photos so I could remember how precious time is, and little ones are.

I used several of the border sticker strips on this page, some of them I cut and formed arrows, and one of them I just used as is
I'm also a huge sucker for the doilies in this collection and fussy cut out several of them from the Pond paper.

Make sure to check out the collection in the My Scraps & More store HERE.

Have a wonderful day!!!!

I chose to use Fancy Pants Trendsetter collection.
To me it's a great mix of both spring and summer. It has bright fun colors and patterns, and is happy and playful all at the same time. You can find it in the My Scraps & More store HERE.

I used a photo of the kids at the splash park from last summer.
I used the chipboard embellies for a banner and the coordinating buttons and stickers:
I also added some white misting on the black cardstock since it was a water themed photo:
Now that is not all. I am also giving away a RAK. All you have to do is leave a comment and become a follower of my blog (and I'm also on Blog LOVIN) if you are not already and I will draw a random winner at the close of the hop.

Earth Day Page...

Hello and good evening...

Tonight I am sharing a layout with you all about Earth Day.. On the Just Imagine Crafts blog, all the layouts are Earth Day themed and this is what I came up with.

I choose a picture of a spring tulip that I took a few years back, and since we are in spring, I themed the page to go along with it.

I used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter to cut multi sized and layer for a great flower:
and also used Kreaxions Punch #906 for the borders:
How will you be spending Earth Day? Are you doing anything for it?

Have a great night...
