Day 90: Super Sketchy Sunday

Hello, good morning and Happy Easter!!!!

Hope the Easter bunny came to your house and left lots of fun goodies.. This Easter is a bit different for us, since the two oldest kids aren't even in the house for the weekend, but at my sisters, so we didn't do all the typical Easter traditions that we usually do. But they are with their cousins, so I know they are having a blast

Here is the sketch for Day 90 at 365 Cards Challenge blog to play along with this week:
And here is what I came up with:
I just used a mix of scraps from a leftover kit and created this card. I even misted a bit:
I'm also linking up with Simon Says, Anything Goes challenge.

Don't forget to stop by the other DT's blog and see their super sketchy sunday work:

I found a VERY older piece of Jenni Bowlin shaped paper, some that I have hoarded for the longest time because I just LOVED the shape of it. I also added some misting on the page

I Love You Layout

Today I'm up over on the GCD blog....

It's Wendi here, and I am sharing with you a fun layout using the Pure Bliss collection. This line is has the funniest patterns, sweet colors, and perfect for any occasion designs. I was excited to scrap a layout of my husband and I. A couple of years ago, I realized that we didn't have enough photos of just the two of "us". So I have made a bigger effort of snapping pictures of us whenever we get the chance.

Here is my layout:
I laid down the base of my page, and then made 3/4 strips of paper:
Then I added a pleat on each strip, and varied where the pleat was placed on the strip:
I then proceeded to layer the pleat to a total of three time for some dimension:
I added some machine stitching to hold them down, and them placed some hearts:
I LOVED the Crossword paper, and added my own text and journaling on the pattern:
This line was sooo much fun to play with!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day.
Supplies:
Paper: Pure Bliss- Crossword, Danity Floral, Journal Tags, Alphabet, Pink Honeycomb, Diamonds.

Other: Cardstock, Machine Stitching, Bling, Sharpie Pen, Circle Punch.

Oh My...

Hello and good morning...

I'm up over on the My Scraps & More blog...

Today I'm sharing a layout with you using American Craft's Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection. Most of the time I just use cardstock as my base background for my layout, but the Bright Bauble paper was perfect!! I LOVE the ombre effect.

This collection is full of fun chevrons, grids, arrows, horses and cool trendy prints....
I cut out pennants and added some stitching to create a focal point on the top of the page. I also used some of the MME enamel dots.
Make sure to check out the Lucky Charm collection in the store HERE... there is sooo much to it, and both sides of the paper are simply delicious!!!!!

Have a wonderful day....

New PJs (Lets Get Sketchy)

Hello and good morning...

well it was a long and busy and SUPER fun weekend up in Utah visiting family, friends and the Scrapbook Expo. Me and the lil one finally made it home, after an almost 2 hour delay at the airport. She was quite the lil trooper and did great at traveling!! I was impressed cuz I was super tired and exhausted by the end of the night, thank goodness we had a direct flight last night!!

Today is my last day up as a GDT on the Let's Get Sketchy blog for this month

I always get super nervous doing color challenges!!! I want to make sure the color match up correctly and never are quite sure if they do. I mixed and matched several lines!!!
I pulled out a Christmas photo of the kids in their new pjs from 2012, man they have grown sooo much since then!!!!!

Day 83: Super Sketchy Sunday

Hello and Happy Sunday!!!!

This week has been great and gone by a littttle too fast, but that's ok, next week is Spring Break for the kids so that will be nice to have them here and we can be a bit lazy around here..

Here is the sketch for this Sunday at 365 Cards Challenge blog:
And here is the card I came up with:
I went pretty artsy with my mist this week and tried to create an ombre effect with it, starting with light and fading into darker mists. I used a mask for the shape that it created.
This week we have a wonderful sponsor, so check out the blog to get all the wonderful details for playing along.... So make sure to play along!!!!

Lots of pages...

Hello and Happy Saturday!!!!

Today I am sharing quite a few pages that I've gotten done recently and haven't gotten around to uploading. I've been playing along with the My Scraps & More Sketch-A-Thon.. If you haven't checked it out, PLEASE do!!!! Every day of this month, a new sketch is posted and a fun twist to play along to. I've been keeping up with the sketches and have totally enjoyed getting sooo many pages done this month!!

It's His Bday.
this photo was taken of Austin last year on his bday at the Red Sox v. Angels baseball game. Talk about a kid in heaven.. I used sketch #16 and the twist was the use paper with numbers or letters on it, but not in the title. I used some Crate DIY collection .

Wedding Smiles.
This photo of is my lil sis on her wedding day, my daughter and my niece. They just looked too adorable together. I used sketch #15 and the twist, to stamp on your layout, something I NEVER do. I have stamps and am too nervous about messing up the page. I used a small flower stamp and an arrow.

Love 2 Read:
Here's my little one, who has grown quite the love for reading books. She loves to be read to, to read herself and just play with books. It's super cute to watch. I used sketch #14 and the twist was to use chipboard. I used Crate's DIY collection for this page.

You Make My Heart Sing:
This is a photo of Chorley falling asleep at me at the Red Sox v. Angels game.. crazy right?? It was loud, but she was tired.. lol.. I used sketch #18 and the twist was to ink it up, so I inked most of the edges of the papers.

Little Moments:
This page is of my lil sis and I at her wedding. I used sketch #12 and the twist was to add a banner. I used Crate's Maggie Holmes line, which I am sooo lovin right now.

So that's what I've been up to.. hopefully I can keep up with the rest of the sketches for the month...
If you haven't checked it out, your not too late there's still time to play along!!! so hop on over..

Have a good one!!!

It's His Bday

Hello and good afternoon....

I just wanted to share this quick page I did the other day of Austin. It's a photo that I took with him on his last birthday while we were at the Red Sox vs Angels game. Talk about a kid being in total heaven!!! It was fun to watch him be so excited.

I used the Crate DIY collection for this page and am LOVIN it.
I also used several Chic Tags and stars... for their Sunday challenge.
and yup that's right I added a doily to a boy page, why not???
I also played along with the My Scraps & More sketch #16, the twist was to use numbers or letters on your page without it being in your title.

K I am off, have a great night...
