Top Faves of 2012

Hello and Good Happy New Years Eve.....

I'm back from a lil overnight getaway with the hubby away from the kids... It's nice to have an extended date night!!! It was much needed... 

Here are my top faves from the 2012 scrappy year.... It's always hard to narrow it down, I got quite a bit done this past year..... I also tried to show some variety, I guess I love scrapping pages, cards and altering things just the same.. what can I say??? I LOVE to craft!!!!!

 

I guess you can tell I enjoy my mists, love my sewing machine, and I seem to enjoy twine quite a bit... I also tend to seem to like aquas and blues alot.

Day 305: Super Sketchy Sunday

Hello and good morning....

I can't believe there are only a few days left to the end of the year, and the start of a new one!!! this year went by soooo fast, I don't even know where to start...

Well, one last sketch from 365 Cards Challenge blog to finish off the year:

And here is what I came up with:

I did something new that I have NEVER done before.. I paper pieced my stamped image onto 3 different papers and then pieced them all back together to create the image!!! (Thanks Rose for all the inspiration)

The image I used is the Cherry Top Cupcake stamp from DRS stamps, the image can be found HERE.

and the sentiment is the Sweet Birthday greeting.
Make sure to check out the DRS store... they have some WONDERFUL stamps!!!

My Scraps & More sketch #9

Hello and good morning...

It's time again for another wonderful sketch to get going at the My Scraps & More sketch blog... if you haven't checked it out, I totally recommend it, the sketches rock and there's a monthly prize!!!!

Here is my take on the sketch:

The photos are from Christmas 2011, Christmas morning and opening their stockings.

For my three squares, I used the index cards that you can cut out from the patterned paper:

And then just added a sprinkle of bling:

I'm working on trying to get my December Daily all caught up.. I took the pics and have the book about half done, but still need to upload and print photos... I am aiming to get that done by Jan 1, fingers crossed!!!

December Daily

Hello and good morning...

  I am sharing my December Daily album that I created using Basic Grey's Aspen Frost collection pack up over on The Original Scrapbook USA Expo blog. Are you working on a December Daily album? I have wanted to create one for years!!! and have kept meaning to, but never actually doing it. I either know I have too much on my plate, or something else has become a priority. But this year I am going for it, and already have my album done. I just need to add the journaling and photos.

I picked up a journal from Target in the office supplies section:

Next I used the Aspen Frost line to create my cover, which I just used paper, a few of the Element stickers  and some of the Die Cut shapes.

I added a bit of bling from my stash and some twine.

The inside cover page I created looks like this:

And here are the first few pages to show you what I did. I just added a few strips of paper to the left side, and maybe a die cut or sticker. And then on the right side, I cut apart of the Garland and added numbers for the dates.

I'm trying to focus on the journaling aspect of December, and then add a photo or two.

Day 298: Super Sketchy Sunday

well we are on the Eve of Christmas Eve.. my kids keep asking  if it's Christmas Eve yet.... almost!!!

Today on the 365 Cards Challenge blog, there's a great new sketch that I am VERY excited about to kick start your card mojo:

I've really been into triangles lately so I thought this would be fun.. here's my take on it:

Have a Merry Birthday

Ok, one more layout from me today...

I was excited about this one. I scrapped a recent photo of my sweet baby, who just turned one, at her birthday earlier this month..

yup, she is diving into her cake... but she was very dainty like a little lady...
I actually used mainly christmas papers on this page, but LOVE how Christmas lines aren't just about red and green anymore...

Also added some fun misting and sooooo LOVE LOVED these little alphas:

I used the Lets Get Sketchy Week 2 sketch
Used the word MERRY for the daily challenge at the My Scraps Forum
And challenge #43 to scrap a NON holiday layout with Scrapbook Circle, and I used the Dec kit.

Good morning...

Happy Saturday and sooo excited that it's finally Christmas break... hopefully we'll get to relax soon.

Sketches In Thyme #97

Hello and good evening....

I'm finally caught up on my blog reader and realized I didn't blog this yesterday...
The latest sketch from Tiffany at Sketches in Thyme... a two pager.. which I quite enjoyed!!!

The photos were from the Simpsons season premiere party back in October at the Santa Monica pier and the kids had a blast!!!!
I used some Basic Grey on the page and had fun with the garland banners....

well I've BAKED alot but still have two more desserts to get through tonight....
