RAK!!!!!!

Ok I've been meaning to do this for awhile and keep forgetting....

But here it goes... Since I am packing up my scrappy room into boxes for a week or so, it's already pretty much packed, and I am left to put away ALL the pages that I have scrapped from October up till yesterday..

SO GUESS HOW MANY PAGES I NEED TO PUT INTO PAGE PROTECTORS???????
(I'm not counting any two pager layouts as one, just counting EACH page by itself)

So make a guess and add it in the comments section.

If you are a follower, then post that on a separate comment, you'll get an extra entry.

If you become a follower, then post it on a separate comment and you get an extra entry.

You'll have till July 6th to post a comment with your guess. Closest guess to the number of pages will get a RAK. If there's a tie, I'll do the random pick thing. I will get a RAK out to you after I am moved in and settled into our new place....

Sketches In Thyme #82

It's always fun when cousins get together. They have a blast, they spend time playing, talking, hanging out, being silly and laughing ALOT.. I love watching our kids play with their cousins and they always are counting down the time till they can see each other again.
These photos are of the cousins together in February 2012, when they came down for Chorley's baby blessing. They enjoyed every minute together:
Here's the sketch from Tiffany from Sketches in Thyme to play along with sketch #82:
Here's the left side:
and the right side:
I had fun making my own triangles and then added some machine sewing on them too:
Don't forget to play along with those month's chance to win a cool prize from the sponsor:

Link up your take on any (or all) of the June challenges on the SIT sidebar by June 30th for your chance to win a fabulous prize from our sponsor, Peace Love and Scrapbooking!

Let's Catch Up

I have to say, these telephones are just the cutest thing ever on the Jillibean Soup papers.. and I've been hoarding the paper because I couldn't bear to use them. But I finally did and here is a card that I created with it:
I used the Retro Sketch #17 for my card.
I also played along with Lisa's mini challenge at My Scraps & More Got Talent II contest- to use twine on a card- got it.
Well Happy Hump day and hope you are having a great one!!!!

Pen/ Stuff Holder

So I got the itch to ALTER!!!! I haven't altered in quite awhile. I had altered a frame the other day, then another project (which I will blog next month) and then I felt the need to alter something else!!! It's been awhile, and it felt soooo good to get down and dirty with some paper
Here is a pen/ stuff holder that I altered out of a wooden birdhouse:
I used some Echo Park and MME papers for this project.
This is what I started with:
Next I started adding my papers:
Then even though the house itself was wooden, I actually added wood patterned paper along the bottom and inked it with Tea Dye Ranger Distress Ink to give it more of a worn look:
Next I added the embellies and also added some Broken China paint in the cracks:
and one more detail on the side, I'm a sucker for stars:
And here it is all filled out and ready to go:
A pretty quick and easy project or even as a fun gift to dress up someone's office or desk.

Hope you have a wonderful day!!!!!

Day 116: Super Sketchy Sunday

Another Sunday already... seriously, how does the week go soooo fast? And we are almost at the end of June... what?? I know... slow down already..
Today Pam has a wonderful sketch up for Day 116 at 365 Cards Challenge Blog to play along with.
Here is my take on the sketch:
This week the sponsor at 365 Cards is DRS Designs:
I  used the Happy Birthday 3" Gigi Circle which I am in LOVE with...
Here's a close up of the stamp being used on my card:
And I added lots of distressing and some twine too:
Here is the sketch from Pam for today:
This card has actually already gone out in the mail. My brother in law had a birthday this week, hence the more masculine card theme, but I'm thinking he'll like it.
Don't forget to stop by the other DT's blog and see their super sketchy sunday work:

I also played along with the Crafty Steals Thursday Challenge, to create a birthday card.. perfect.

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday and get the chance to be a bit lazy too...

Love.

There are ALOT more photos of hubby and me, as of a couple of years ago when I decided we just needed more pics of US. And I'm sooo glad I decided to do that, so then I actually have pics of the two of us to scrap. Sometimes I just take the pics myself, other times the kids will actually take the pics, like in this photo, taken by one of the kids at Easter.
I used my June Scrapbook Circle kit for the page, and LOVE the mix of papers that are in it this round.. I still LOVE those old camera from the EP This and That line. I also played along with the June Color Challenge on the Scrapbook Circle blog challenge- tan, blue and green.
I also played along to the Scrap It With a Song "Drive" by Incubus.. I've LOVED that song for the longest time, and it's one of Jeremy's fave bands. I used the line: "so whatever tomorrow brings, I'll be there, with open arms and open eyes"
plus I added some fun distressing to all the circles. I also played along with the My Scraps and More challenge #3- a sketch and use 5 manuf. which I did: Echo Park, Studio Calico, Heidi Swapp, Simple Stories, and American Crafts (cs).
Hope you have a wonderful Saturday!!!!!

Carefree.

ahhhh summer is finally here and I LOVE it!!! After not living in Cali for awhile, I have forgotten all about June Gloom... that's the downside of living near the beach in the summer. But the kids are out of school, not a lot of plans and places we HAVE to be at, and lots of outdoor time. I am LOVIN it right now.
This photo of Sydney taken at the park playing was actually taken just a couple days after Christmas!! Not that you can tell, but that is the UPSIDE of living in Cali in the winter.. it's usually warm and nice out.
I used the June 6.21 sketch from Elle's Studio, along with a couple of Elle's Journaling spots.
I ams still LOVIN the AC Amy Tangerine line and how happy and fun it is.
Here's some up closes of the triangles, layered with some machine sewing:
And check out that sunny winter weather:
I may have gone a little misty crazy:
This page was also inspired by the challenge at Inspired By #29:
I pulled the happy fun colors and also added a yellow flower/fun on my page....

TGIF!!! hope you have a wonderful day!!!!

Red, White and Blue Hello....

I pulled out some VERY old papers...we're talking Love Elsie and Scenic Route... going back OLD school on this one.. And just because the paper's old, doesn't mean I don't LOVE it still.
I used the EAD color challenge for my card basis, here's my card:
Here is the color challenge:
I used an EAD sentiment (Hello) and a red mushroom on my card.
I also used the Retro Sketches # 16 to play along with also.

Seeing these colors is making me excited for summer.. It's just says 4th of July, BBQs, fireworks, and some outdoor living... I LOVE summer....

Daddy's Lil Cupcake

I got in the mail my latest Scrapbook Circle kit and was sooo excited to actually get some free scrappin time yesterday, so I just dove right into it... LOVE all the fun yumminess of the kit. I created this page, to not be a typical baby page. Not a lot of frill, pink or soft colors.
So here is a page of Chorley that I created:
I did add one lil detail to make it a bit girlie which was the cupcake.. if you look on her onesie it says "Daddy's Lil Cupcake" which is where I got my title from also.
I also used the sketch to play along with My Scraps & More's Got Talent II and we also had to add distressing, which made me really happy.
And then topped it off with a lil pennant action:
Hope you have a wonderful day!!!!

One More Happy Father's Day card

ok so I'm a day late in sending this card out.. I know, bad me, but I meant to get it done earlier and last week just got waaay too crazy. So I'll be at least sending it out tomorrow. It's a Father's Day card for my father in law. So I went with a super guy/masculine card.. the works- blue, stars, and distressing.
I used the CPS sketch #270 for this card.
Played along with Day 110: Round at  365 Cards. I actually made a round card, something I don't do much, added bling circles, and had come circles in the scallop sticker I used.
I also used some Glitz papers from the Vintage Blue collection which are great for a guy card. So I played along with the June Glitz challenge.

I used the inspiration photo from Inspired by #28 to go masculine, grungy and use the colors from it :

Lastly, this goes towards my My Scraps & More mini challenge #1:
something old- CS and bling
something new- pack of alphas
something borrowed- CPS sketch #270
something blue- Glitz papers

So don't judge me cuz I'm a late card sending.. better late then never right???
Happy Monday!!!!!

Day 109: Super Sketchy Sunday

Well not only is it Sunday... but HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!! to all the fathers out there!!! I feel super blessed not only to have an amazing father, the sweetest grandfather, but also a wonderful husband, who is father to our children.. I'm a VERY lucky girl..
Today is also Day 109 at 365 Cards Challenge Blog and Pam has a cool new sketch to work with:
Here's my take on the sketch, I made a Father's Day card for my sweet hubby with it:
I used these cool kraft mini alphas from Jillibean Soup on my card:
I also cut out a Chevron from patterned paper and then felt like it just needed something. So I sew on a line, but one didn't seem like enough, so I sewed three lines and then felt like that card was complete:
So make sure you play along and check out the sketch.. Don't forget to stop by the other DT's blog and see their super sketchy sunday work:
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday and a great week!!!!!

ScrapFit Workout #70 Develop your own Polaroid

I have to say I was sooooo excited about this latest Workout from Sara at the ScrapFIT blog!!!!

Do you remember when Polaroid photos were the hot new way to take photos!  Well this workout is a tribute to the Polaroid!  We want to see a layout with a Polaroid photo. Dont have a Polaroid photo dont worry you can create a fake Polaroid...

Totally fun right???
So here is my take on the challenge:
These photos are of Sydney and some of her girl cousins last summer when we went to the splash park.. The day ended up being kinda chilly and overcast, but that didn't stop the kids from getting into the water and having a blast. I used LOTS of AC's Amy Tan Sketchbook line, which worked great with these summer photos...
Ms Katie:
Ms Emily:
and my lil Ms Sydney:
So I have to say I think this is my most FAVE page that I've done in awhile.. even got out some of my Washi tape and used it!!! I used my April Scrapbook Circle kit too.

Make sure to play along and link up at ScrapFIT so you can be entered to receive a $25.00 Gift Certificate from

Hope you have a SUPER wonderful Friday!!! TGIF!!!!
