Lil RockStars

Lil Rockstars.. that's what these crazy bunch of kids are looking like in these photos. The kids and their cousins went for a scooter ride and we got them to pose for us, and this is what they came up with!!! totally cute, I have to say. This page was done for a challenge for the LSS contest going on over at Memorable Seasons right now. The challenge- Make a "shaped" LO ( I choose to work with a star), use wallet size photos (I just cut out a 4x6 and then mounted the cut pieces), and create handmade flowers. Since this was kinda a more rouged LO, I went with some messy spiral flowers for my embellies.

Gotta have some bling, and glitter letters.. I mean, that is rock star style right?

Opening Presents

Christmas in June I guess... I scrapped some Christmas photos but yet without any Christmas papers of embellies and this is the page I came up with. I used the 6.23 Sketchy Thursday Sketch for this page. I also used it towards last week's LSS at Memorable Seasons- the challenge, use themey photos with on themey papers, add an embellie cluster (right up my alley) and add a "green" recycled item on the page.. I love these photos of Sydney from Christmas, it was right after she chopped her hair and got a super cute bob.

Nuts About Sketches Week# 167

Hangin @ the Park

WOW... I actually got 2 layouts done on the same day, on a work day.. that hasn't happened in a loooong time.. the schedule around here has been WAY too crazy, and I've been WAY too exhausted to get much else done. Here is a page I made with the Lucky Girl's June kit, mainly the Echo Park Playground papers- love em!!! I also used the Sassy Lil Sketches June 6 sketch for this page... BTW, Sassy Lil Sketches is having a DT CALL for both their LAYOUT blog and their CARDS blog... I totally recommend trying out.. The sketches are sooo fun, the forum rocks, and Katie and Cherie are the sweetest!!!!

Summer Smiles

Summer Smiles... it's FINALLY here!!!! i'm soooo excited, I'm soooo ready, and sooo tired of the cold. These photos of Sydney were taken last summer in the backyard, while she enjoyed a cup of ice to eat- a Sydney favorite snack. I used the Lucky Girl's June kit, was was packed full of fun Echo Park Playground papers!!!! I used the Lucky Girl's 6/10 Friday sketch for this page, and it worked toward the Paper Variety weekly challenge- a summer themed project...

Nuts About Sketches Week #166

Talk about a SUPER fun new 2 pager sketch from Shawn at Nuts About Sketches. This one is for Week 166. I LOVED how many photos I could actually get on the pages!!! These photos were of the kids and their cousins playing at the park earlier last summer. They were climbing the trees like crazy and it was fun to watch them to see how much they've grown. Esp since we moved here 7 years ago, they could barely climb up the play set at the park.

Big and Exciting NEWS!!!!!!

Yesterday, our family went to the doctor's office and we had a little surprise to show the kids. They have no idea what to expect, and kinda thought they were just being dragged along to something boring. Well first they heard the heartbeat, and were just realllly quiet. Then the doctor showed the kids the baby with the ultra sound machine, and the baby was moving around like crazy... They saw the eyes, hand, feet, heart beat, everything, it was sooo cool and exciting...

Scrap Tiffany ---Sketch Challenge

For my last DT assignment on the Scrap Tiffany blog, there is a super fun sketch challenge. Here is my take on the sketch. I used Echo Park's Dots and Stripes line for it, and mixed the two packs of Dots and Stripes.. I went for some fun and bold colors, which plays off the colors on the photos. The photos are of me and Angie B, a good friend I've had for years. We worked together for about 10 months a couple of years ago, but have been friends since and she rocks!!!

Red and Pink together??? Heck yah!!!! gotta mix it up a bit.
