Scrap Tiffany: Friendship Challenge

Today the new challenge for 5/1 is posted and ready to play along with at Scrap Tiffany blog... the theme is: Friendship.... My page is titled "I LOVE that U R Friends". That is one thing I am VERY grateful for, that my kids are not just brother and sister, but that they realllly are friends. I love nothing more than to overhear them playing together, giggling and making each other laugh. I love to come into the room to find them just "hanging out" with each other, making forts together, playing sports outside, and just being plain silly together. I knew that with them being 20 month apart, it may not have happened.. does that mean they are perfect? nope. Do their fight? yup. and do they get competitive? yup. But, they do really get along and enjoy each other, and that melts my heart.

I used an older Crate and MME line, ones that I LOVE and have gotten alot of use out of.... and yup, added some flower trim to glam it up.

Day 62: Super Sketchy Sunday

New week... New Sketch!!!!!! and this one is super fun from Pam at 365 card challenge blog for Day 62 to play along with... I highly recommend it.

Here is my card for this week's sketch. I used Cosmo Cricket's Salt Air line and mainly picked all the pinks out of the line for a feminine card with the line:

Using pop dots to pop out the flower and the butterflies:

I added some sewing and lace for a more girlie/ soft feel to the card:

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday...... Today is my baby girl's birthday and she turns 8!!! so we will be having chocolate cake tonight... and a celebration.

Spring Card

Well even though it SNOWED today, I am still feeling a Spring-ey mood and hoping that Spring REALLY will spring.. eventually.. LOL.. Here is my Spring card using Echo Park's Springtime line and the Sassy Lil Sketches 4.28 sketch. Maybe if I close my eyes and wish hard enough.. spring will come.. right?

Nuts About Sketches Bday Celebration

Well it's birthday week over at Nuts About Sketches going on right now!!!!! It's going to be a week of fun daily sketches and a super fun kit prize for playing along!!! you don't want to miss out.. Here is sketch #1 to start your scrappy weekend off with.

Here is my take on it. This photo was taken on my kids and their cousins over Spring Break in my grandparents backyard. A place where I remember playing outside for hours with my own cousins.

Cosmo Cricket Card

I am sooo in love with the Salt Air line from Cosmo Cricket.. it's sooo adorable and super summery fun. Here is a card that I created with the sketch from Cosmo Cricket HERE.. I made this card for my daughter who is turning 8 on Sunday.. I can't believe my baby is going to be 8!!! wow it goes fast... I hope she likes the card.. I'm pretty sure she will.. I mean, what 8 year old doesn't think about being a mermaid from time to time.

Design Dollies: Trifecta Week

Since it's the last week of the month, over at Design Dollies.... it's the Trifecta Challenge week!!!!! That means combining all 3 of the previous challenges for this month!!!!!

First the COLORS:
Some of Leah's favourites - lime green, royal blue, orange, and white.
Then the ELEMENTS:
Use BUTTONS in a creative way - Adina would like to see at least seven

Now the SKETCH:

So here is my take on it... the background CS is a dark blue... and I think it really makes the colors on top just pop. I used Echo Park's Summer Days line for this page:

I added lots of scallops, sewing, and layering:

For the buttons element, I laced the buttons with twine:

Just to add some added texture, I sewed white around the borders:

Nuts About Sketches Week# 158

Here is my take on the sketch:

I used Cosmo Cricket's Salt Air line.. ahhhh perfect for those summer photos, esp the beach ones. Last summer, the kids finally were old enough to get the hang out boogie boarding. They used the ones that grandma and grandpa had in the garage and had a blast at the beach... I think if we lived there, Austin would be a surfer already. Our kids are such water lovers.

For this wave, I fussy cut out a wave off of a paper, and then added the chipboard on some of the splashes to make it pop out and of course, a bit of bling too:

Had to use the Beach Boys for some inspiration for my title: "Lets Go Surfin Now"

I choose to stick with many a monochromatic.. well almost, lots of blues, greens, and fun water tones:

Day 55: Super Sketchy Sunday

I used the movie tickets digi image. I printed it out on the pink Echo Park background paper and then cut them out. I also used pop dots on the center ticket and then added my image. For this card, I used Echo Park's Summer Day's line.. It's packed full of fun colors and happiness.

Twisted Sketch #56

I always love the newest sketches from Anam at Twisted Sketches.. This one is no different. This week sketch #56 and the cool TWIST: Yellow!!!!! I think I may have gone yellow crazy but I am ok with that... I don't tend to use yellow as my focal color very often but it was nice to make that change for this challenge.. Hope you play along.

Summer Days Friends Card

I finally go to making a card with the Echo Park Summer Days line... I was sooo excited to use these bold, bright, fun colors and create a card. I used the Card Patterns #111 sketch for this card and the prompt from Paige's Challenge at Scrapbook Trends Blog, to use the sentiment: "If friends were flowers, I'd pick You." So here's what I came up with:

ok so I'm totally LOVIN the newest Echo Park line, Summer Days.... it's super fun and playful. It actually worked perfect with this photo of Sydney, the colors and patterns were ideal. When we were to Cali, I took the kids to the beach for a couple of hours, and they just LOVED being there, they were sooo happy, carefree, and just acting like kids. We walked along the shore, they dug in the sand, and danced at the edge of the water. Hopefully next time we go, it will be warm enough to swim in.

Summer Days

Every now and again I LOVE to make a 2 pager... and since I had a TON of beach photos from our Cali trip, this 4.14 sketch from Sketchy Thursdays was perfect!!! I used Echo Park's Summer Days line... soooo perfect for the photos. I just LOVE how happy the patterns and colors are on the papers. Makes me more than ready for summer. Also I used some of their chipboard and brads embellies... they are sooo cute!!!! You gotta check them out.
