Foam It Up. One of the best things we did this summer was going to Foam Days on July 24th. The kids LOVED it and are already asking to go back again. Basically the firemen come out with these huge hoses and spray all the kids with LOTS of sudsy foam. Since it's hot, and in summer, the kids had a blast. But it was crazy packed with people, but the kids had fun, so that's all that mattered. Here are a few pics of it. I used Sketchy Thursdays 1.27 sketch to play along with this week, and almost everything on the page is from a Pink Ninja Addicts kit.. which I have gotten a ton of use out of.... I LOVED the fabric in it, and enjoy sewing it onto my pages.Monday, January 31, 2011

For those who are new to the concept of the Dollhouse 'trifecta', this is how it works ~ Create a NEW project which incorporates each of the first three challenges for the month (ie - you must feature the colors, you must address the elements criteria, you must use the sketch.) If you're new this week, that's fine too, because we're reviewing them right now...
Here are the January TRIFECTA ingredients:

Elements:
Freehand something... draw, doodle, or faux embellish, but do it by hand...

Here is my take on the trifecta challenge.... I used the Echo Park Little Boy line which is perfect for the colors and then used a kraft background.... I outlined my stars freehand for the elements portion and then used the sketch for the page itself... and here ya go:

I preordered it from Jill at Memorable Seasons and have been patiently waiting my get my fingers on it to play. Here is my first page with the line. The photo was taken right away the clock struck twelve on 1.1.11... and so I thought the title was perfect, LOVE starting off 2011 right.. 2gether... The newest Page Maps sketch is out and I just had to play along with it, so here's my take on it.
Blingin it up:
Friends.
Friends... that's what these kids are.. sure they are cousins, but they are more than that, they are each other's friends. They enjoy hanging out, doing things together, sometimes even getting into trouble together, but they are quite the little gang together. This week the challenge at the Paper Variety is all about friendship. I just printed some pics from New Years Eve when all the 5 cousins got together, and had a BLAST staying up till midnight!!! that's forsure. I used some of Sassafras's Mix and Mend line.. can I just tell you it's gorgeous!!! LOVE the colors, the prints, the look of sewing on the papers and other fun shapes!!! i just {heart} it.Lil Ms. Style
Sydney did a lil model shoot for my sister Kristine's etsy shop (Bold Blooms), they sell the cutest lil girl dresses, skirts and packs to sew em yourself. Sydney got into the photos more towards the end and it was fun to see her dress up and be a little model. So I got lots of fun pics from her too. Here is a page of my FAVE pic, I think out of all of them. The sun was in her eyes and I put my hat on her and those were my fave pics of her, plus that dress and material are adorable. I used some Sassafras Lass Indie Girl, which I just adore the colors and prints in that line, added some mist, used sketch # 103 from the Scrappiest and was good to go.2010 Recital
The Echo Park Be Mine line was totally a perfect match for Sydney's dance outfit this year.. I LOVE how cute and fun her outfit is, and the glitter dots on the skirt really shine onstage too. Here are some pics from her December recital, and just seems like it was made for this EP line.. I love it.. I used sketch #104 from the Sketchiest for this page.Mr. Crabby
When we went up to San Luis, this summer, we always stop and go to Moon Stone beach in Cambria.. It had great tide pools and the kids love to explore them. Sydney caught and held onto to several hermit crabs and made them her "babies" while she was playing. It was sooo cute to watch her get so excited over the lil guys. I used some Prima papers and embellies for this page. I also used the Sketchiest sketch # 100 for this page also.
Baby, It's Cold
Earlier this month, my lil nephew Ryder came over and stayed the night and played all day with Sydney. Since it had just snowed and was nice enough to play outside, they made snow angels, ate snow, and had a great time. Ryder didn't have any snow clothes with him, so he borrowed some of Austin's older things, and it was sooo funny to watch how much he just drowned in clothing!!!! Here are some cute pics of him outside playing in the snow. I used some of the Bo Bunny mama-razzi line I've been meaning to break into. I also used the Sketchiest sketch #102 from this week. It's All About.. Diary of a Wimpy Kid
For Austin lately, it's been all about... the Diary of a Wimpy Kid once he discovered that book. It really helped him to get excited about reading on his own, and he just dove into the books. He has them all, and we saw the movie- which was realllly cute and quite funny. For Christmas he got the latest book and a Wimpy Kid shirt, and was sooo excited. I used some Jillibean Soup papers and the Sketchiest sketch #101 to create this page.Saturday, January 29, 2011

So if you haven't yet guessed, our sponsor this week is one of my all time faves, SRM Stickers! Here is my take on this weeks sketch. I used a couple of the stickers for my sentiment and my image. The trim is from Websters, and I re-found and it and how fun is it??? I totally love it.. Also used my MM tearing tool to distress my card up and even pulled out the sewing machine for some added sewing.
Twisted Sketch # 44
The new adorable and cute sketch from Twisted Sketches is up and posted.. the Twist is week: TWINE, which seems to be all the rage lately. I realized I only have a little bit of the fun colored and white twine, so I am going to have to get some more. I added it to my buttons to dress them up a bit. and the card is a mix of little things from the end of a kit and what was laying on my desktop.. Also LOVE by BG precision tools for distressing...Thursday, January 27, 2011
Meeting a Princess- Echo Park- Little Girl

Well this is my last page of my Echo Park Little Girl line.. I pretty much have used everything up, but have a few scraps left to make a few cards... This is a photo of Sydney from our last Disneyland trip, where she got to meet a few of the princesses. This was her favorite to meet, Aurora. She was soooo excited and it was fun to watch her be sooo super girlie. This line has the perfect matching line to create with, since it has fun little crowns and adorable pink lettering... talk about every little girl's dream.
