4th grade???? My oldest is actually in 4th grade??? when did that happen? I know.. I am still in shock and the school year is coming up to the half way mark. I don't know if I can't believe I'm old enough to have a 4th grader or that he is just growing up... Well here is Austin's 4th grade pic this year from school. I used the Crate School Spirit line for this page, and I just love how it really can go for boys or for girls.. perfect.... I used the Sketchy Thursday's special facebook sketch for this page and linked it up there... very fun...Thursday, December 30, 2010

I'm really going to town and getting those school pics scrapped of the kids.. I always love new pics to scrap and I think these ones turned out pretty cute of the kids.. I used Liz's sketch from the Scrappiest for sketch #96 for this page. I used some of the Crate School Spirit line... I am in LOVE with it right now.. it's colors and patterns are sooo fun....#1 Kids
I've had this School line from Crate and been dying to break it in, for quite awhile.. Once I saw the line, I knew I wanted to get some for the kids school pics ASAP.... Well the kids were in Cali, when the first round of school pics were taken, so they had to wait and do make up pics... good enough.. just meant I had to wait longer for the pics, but totally worth the wait.. Here they are from this year, I still can't believe how big they are getting... I used the sketch from Design Dollies. and loved the open space from it also!!! fun stuff....Happy Birthday... a simple card
I really am trying to do something new and try cleaner and simpler cards.. now, that doesn't mean I don't LOVE to pile lots of embellies, paper and goodies on it all at one.. but I am trying new things.. this card is for Day #304 at 365 card challenge blog.. the challenge:Keep it Simple:
One image, - the birdcage
a sentiment, - Happy Birthday
one embellishment, - a strip of bling that I cut up and placed throughout the card
and limit the amount of space you use on the card to about 1/3 of the entire space available.
and here it is... Also this card goes PTT # 27, the challenge- create a birthday card and ANYTHING goes.. so here it is....
Always In My Heart Card
Crumpled circles... one of my fave ways to add lots of texture and pop on a page or card.. When I saw the sketch from SSD# 57, I saw the circles and couldn't wait to get crumpling that paper... Here is my card, and I used some of Echo Park's Be Mine line for this one. I cut out the cute lil heart with the wording on it for my sentiment...Postal- It's Your Birthday
ok ... so I am IN love with the sketch from Card Patterns this week for sketch # 96.... when I saw it I couldn't wait to use it. Here is my take on it. I made more of a grid pattern then an actual divided in half pattern... Also I used Echo Park's Be Mine line for this one.... I'm not a pink girl, but I LOVE the pinks in this line.... and I adore the fun postal card from it too.. also used lots of distressing on it, LOVE my BG precision file set.. talk about a girl's best friend...Happy New Year 2011!!!!!!
It's coming, and it's coming quick!!! 2011... where the heck did 2010 go?? I know, it went waaaaay too quick for me. Well tomorrow night is New Years Eve, which is a fave of mine, and then off to start a new year. Resolutions?? yup, I've got a couple. Well I created this card, a first ever New Years Card I believe, for the Scrapbook Trends Card challenge for the week. I used Echo Park's Be Mine line, and how yummy is it????? I know.. I LOVE it... I also used a Mojo Monday sketch, the square one, but really put my own spin on it.. Hope you and your family have a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!! hello 2011...Wednesday, December 29, 2010
2 2-pagers!!!!!

Twice a year, for Mothers Day and for Christmas, each of the siblings add a couple of layouts to my mom's scrapbook that we each contribute to. It's a great way to see photos, what our families have been up to, and keep track of how big the kids are doing, and their activities.. Here are 2 2 pagers that I created for the book. The Good Times LO, has photos from October when we went to Cali and some cute Halloween photos of the kids in their costumes. I used the Memorable Seasons sketch from Susan, and I think I'm going to be using this one again for sure...
Good Times: Left Side
Good Times: Right Side
Good Times: Journaling
Our Family- another two pager, this one is from Inspired Blueprints # 62.. I LOVE how there were lots of places to add alot of photos. Makes it easy to share what our family has been up to. These photos are from June, July, and August. I used the Scarlet Lime Oct kit to create this layout. I just LOVE the fun wood grain mix from the papers....Tuesday, December 28, 2010

Merry Christmas
Well, it's almost here, Christmas.. a day that my kids have been counting down and anxiously waiting for. I do LOVE Christmas and the whole reason for which the holiday is for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I also wanted to share this Merry Christmas card also. I made it for the Scrapbook Cards Trends gallery challenge- the challenge: to NOT use any green or red on a Christmas card.. and yup, it's a bit harder than it seems. I used the Echo Park Everybody Loves Christmas line, which is full of lots of blues and other not too Christmasey colors.. Blue is one of my fave winter colors... and I used lots of pearly bling on this one too...

Lil Star- Echo Park Be Mine
This week, Tami had a fun challenge at Memorable Seasons called Reason for the Season.. to add things on your page that represent the pictures, the place, or the person your layout is about, kinda like hidden messages/meaning. These are photos from Sydney's last spring dress rehearsal and the meanings are: I used the ribbon from her actual head piece, used bling since she had bling pins holding her flower hair piece, and I used flowers that were the same color as her outfit. So there are some of the meanings of the layout. I used the sketch from sketchabilities #37 for this page. I also used the Echo Park Be Mine line and used more of the black, white and gray and just a pop of pink.. there is sooo much to do with this line, I just love it....Tuesday, December 21, 2010
Mistletoe-ish????
Up at 365 card challenge blog today is Day 296: Mistletoe... I'm not sure if this is exactly mistletoe, I thought it was holly, but I think it can slide as a mistletoe look alike.. LOL.. right??? I also used the sketch from SSD #56 to inspire my card... I used the Echo Park Everybody Loves Christmas line for this card... can I just tell you.. this line works for everything!!! love it...Simple Quick and Easy Cards
Here are two VERY simple and fun cards that I created this afternoon. This one is for the Design Dollies challenge- which I have to say, needed ALOT of thought.. I had to PLAN very carefully.
Just one piece of cardstock- kraft CS
Just one patterned paper- light colored Bo Bunny Winter Joy PP
Just one word in the title/sentiment- Thanks.
Just one photograph/image- Snowflake
Just one embellishment- Bling
And here is what I came up with:
This second card was a color challenge from Design Dollies- TAN, CHOCOLATE, ROYAL BLUE and ORANGE and a sketch from the Sweetest Thing, sketch #97.. another easy basic card, but a cute baby boy card. I used the Little Boy Line from Echo Park for this card too.

ok ladies... we got some snow today... and we got alot.. This week is my turn for the CP weekly challenge...so this challenge is perfect for snow, winter, holiday, Christmas pages, almost anything....
For your challenge I want to see:
At least TWO snowflakes on your page
Dress them up with some bling (think glitter, mists, bling, etc)
Here is my example, I used the Bo Bunny Winter Joy line which had LOTS of snowflakes in it, I also used the Sketchy Thursday 12.16 sketch:

Happy Bday Girl...
oh my gosh aren't these papers gorgeous???? everytime I look at time, I just fall i LOVE all over again... It's from the Echo Park Be Mine line and I am just in heaven when I use them.. they are sooo easy to work with. Here is a card that I created with the Cardabilities sketch # 17.. I mean... there's a banner on the sketch, how can you not love it?? so here is my take on it..It's your Birthday
at 365 card challenge blog.. there is a GORGEOUS, I mean stunningly pretty ad, posted for Day 295 to use the AD to inspire your card making.. I took the elements of the music, I LOVE how it wraps around the candles, sooo pretty.. and then the yellowish tones and then I used the olive green ribbon for the card also.. right when I saw the music.. I knew I had some Sassafras for this one.. I also used the Card Patterns sketch # 95 to get this card going.. Hope you love the ad as much as I do.Clean & Simple
ok here it is.. realllly clean and simple for me, not even inking or the whole card being covered... yes it's a BIG deal for me.. But I am very happy with how the card turned out.. I used the Clean and Simple sketch 121, which I am really enjoying their sketch and challenge- to be clean and simple, something new for me and going outside my box. I used the Bo Bunny Winter Joy line from the CP store with my leftover scraps.Have a Merry B-day
Who says birthdays can't be merry??? esp at this time of year... Well I do have a couple of birthday cards to hand out in the next couple of days, so I thought it would be fun to do a festive bday card.. I used the CPS sketch # 198 and combined it with the Party Time bday challenge #26- use red, white and green on a birthday card... perfect combo... Also I used Echo Park Everybody Loves Christmas line which was perfect for the color challenge.Sunday, December 19, 2010
365 Sketchy Sunday
Up and posted is the new, fun sketch from Pam at 365 Card Challenge blog with the latest Sunday Sketch.... Check it out...
The sponsor for the week is Some Odd Girl Digi Images... and you HAVE to check them out.. they are soooo cute, I had the hardest time just narrowing it down to one!!!! and they are just sooo sweet.
Here is my take on the sketch, I choose to use the digi image, Tiny Tia.. isn't she the cutest??? I had fun coloring her in. I used some old watercolor pencils and then a blending pen to color her in. The watercolor pencils were an item I bought when I first got into scrapbooking, originally stamping waaaay back in the day. and I still use them and love them. Also used come Crate Restoration pp for this card... Hope you play along.
