This week for the weekly sketch at Croppin Paradise, they used an adorable fun sketch from Sassy Lil Sketches 6/21... At first I wasn't sure how to go with it, I'm not great with lots of photos on my page, and I don't print them at home to get a certain size photo... so I put my mind to use, and decided to use sun-rays coming from the center circle of the page.. and go with that spin on it.. So here is my finished product. I used the EVER elegant and lovely line from Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage.. that I picked up at the Croppin Paradise store right HERE... I have to say I pretty much LOVE anything Pink Paislee.. it almost turns out perfect...Tuesday, June 29, 2010

A Ransom Birthday

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the challenge for Day 118 at 365 card challenge blog.. the challenge- to find your sentiment using letters cut out of newspapers, magazines, etc. That's exactly what I used to do when I was in middle school and high school and wanted to make crafty signs for my room.. cut letters from magazine.. I guess my old school method being crafty was the beginning to scrapbooking... so Here is my card, and I used the newest Card Patterns sketch # 70 for my card...
Day 112,113, 116, and 117
Getting some card challenges done at 365 card challenge blog:
Day 117: this card was my FAVE and was all about your FAVES!!!!
fave color- this aqua blue from Crate- it's sooo summery
fave embellie: flowers- anyway they come
sentiment- LOVE happy Birthday cards, they make me smile
fave shape- 6x6 cards
tool- BG distressing tools- LOVE them
DAY 116: cut your card in 3 ways.. I used my trimmer, good old fashioned tearing and my FAVE boarder punch
Day 113: An Ad inspired challenge- which was sooo cute.. I used the colors from the apron and also the apron to me reminded me of being crafty- sewing, baking, and crafting, so used it for my crafty card.
Day 112: sketchy Sunday.. Here is my take on the Sunday sketch.. and yup lots of pink. I'm not a pink girl, but was feeling it at the moment.

Its Your Day
LOVED the fun challenge for Day 114 at 365 Card challenge blog.. use a button, blossom, and bow on your card.. I got all 3 on mine, including the bow, which is not my strong point, but I'm working on em.. I also used the IC card sketch for sketch # 71 to create my card...My Syd.
Yup.. .this is my lil Syd.... almost 7 years ago. This photo was taken when she was just about 4 months. She was suuuuch a great baby, sooo sweet, slept lots, took great naps, was always happy and LOVED to be cuddled and held!!! Just amazing. Diane's challenge at 2SDs was to scrap a photo more than 5 years old, and I also used the Sketch Inspirations sketch this week for the page. I just LOVE looking at photos of the kids when they were babies, I still can't believe how fast they grow up, and they are only small for such a short time..

Some Scrappy Pages
Well I've had a few minutes to do some scrappin this week, and have really enjoyed some afternoon time scrappin.. Usually I only have time on nights and weekends, but with summer, it's been nice to not have to just do homework with the kids in the afternoon. So here's what I've been up to. I have to say I am IN LOVE with the photo for the Lets Go Fly a Kite page.. We took the kids kite flying at the park in April and they loved it. We're going to have to go more often forsure.Thursday, June 24, 2010
White Open Spaces
Don't Smile 2 Hard.. you might hurt yourself.. LOL... Sydney is the queen of smiles, smiling and just bursts of giggles... so I thought this title was perfect.. I also created it for the challenge at Noel Mignon's open space on a page.. something that I am not great at, I LOVE LOVE the idea of and how it turns out on other people's projects.... but I just love to fill up my page, so here is my take on it....Wednesday, June 23, 2010
Journaling Challenge
I was sooo excited when I saw this cool challenge for Sketches by Tamara's journaling challenge.. the challenge: Vary the wording in your journaling by highlighting certain words with a different color, font size, type of font or all three. I LOVE fun ideas like that.. LOVE to mix it up .. magic.. So here is my take on the challenge. I LOVE this photo of Austin and his lil cousin, Crew. Austin is really a tender kid underneath it all and just adores babies.. I love how this photo captures it.Monday, June 21, 2010
Love Card
This afternoon was one where I knew I was actually going to get some scrappy time, and right as I sat down to start a project, my brother in law called me. He was going to the hospital to visit someone, who sadly, won't be getting better. He asked if I would make him a homemade card since the store bought ones are sooo cheesey. How could I say no? He was about 20 minutes away, I wanted to do something that would be pretty.. So this is the card I created, I had seen the sketch at Card Patterns sketch # 69 and knew it was perfect to use. So here is my take on it, and it is going to someone who is more that deserving of just a card.Sunday, June 20, 2010
Me & U.
Me & U. I love this photo from Sydney's birthday in May of us.. we don't take enough photos of just us, I have to remember to hand the camera away sometimes and just ask for someone else to take a picture of us.. Well I used the Sketchy Thursday 6.17 sketch for this one, and love the feel of the open space with it...Friday, June 18, 2010

Slide........
SLIDE.... I'm sooo ready for summer.. but today was crazy stormy, weird weather, that's why we always do swim lessons in July and August.. seems like June just isn't ready for the pool.. but here is my take on the Studio Calico Sunday sketch... also used it with the Monday challenge at Apron Strings to work with something "cool." Create your layout using cool tones: blues, greens, crisp white.. and I also scrapped something COOL...2 Days of 365 cards
Day # 100 for 365 card challenge blog was to create a card and the challenge is to get things lined up in rows. In fact, everything from the embellishments to the sentiment should be lined up, and you'll need to have at least THREE items in each line that you create... so I made 4 rows, the first had 3 layers of ribbons, the next three rows all had their own embellies and the sentiment going across the three lines. I realllllly had fun with this one!!!
Day #98 was sketchy Sunday at 365 card challenge blog.. always a fun one to play along with.. I also had this card go towards Patti's MSW challenge to use a border punch on a border... LOVE the effect of the lace border punch, seems to kinda all the elegant punch... Yellow and Circles
ok here is my spin on the Twisted card sketch with the twist of.... yellow.... that's right and I got lots of it.. I also used it towards Cheryl's MSW challenge to use circles on a card... got em... so here it is..At The Zoo
oh my gosh, LOVE the new fad of banners.. they are sooo fun and cool to deck out and add onto... here is my take of the June Magpie sketch.. full with banner and all.. also used it to combine with Sue's MSW challenge to use a Q,X, or Z in a title... yup ZOO pictures.. so here is my take on it..Tag Card
I'm not really a purple gal, but I am soooo in love with these plaid papers, just LOVE the blues, greens and purples mix... I used a tag to hold my sentiment for this card and also used Card Patterns # 67 to create it... oh did I mention.. I'm in love with those butterflies too.Birds-day Wishes
I finally got around to playing along with the 2 sketches 4 U sketches again, it's been awhile, but I check it out every week, just don't always have the time.. Here is my take on sketch # 54 which also works for Angele's card challenge at 2 SDS to use some fussy cutting on a card...Jump In
Ok I got this page uploaded after the deadline, but I was really happy with how it turned out, so I loaded it anyways.. I used the 6.03 sketch from sketchy Thursday.. I also used it for Angele challenge at 2SDs for a recipe challenge for the word BEACH- buttons, eyelets, arrow, colors- 3 cardstock (that was HARD for me), HIM (male in the pic).. also used it for Nicole's Action challenge- use an action photo.. This was a fun picture to take of the kids all jumpin in the pool at the same time- which is hard to get them to all go at the same time..Tuesday, June 8, 2010
Recipe Card
Here's my card with the SUPER yummy recipe that was whipped up this week at the Sketches for Tamara blog... You need to Use at least these three items on a card or layout:Clear Acrylic Embellishment
Ribbon Bow
Distressing and Inking
So here is my take on it, I used a Heidie Swapp hibiscus flower for my clear acrylic embellies, got through a bow (not my strong points) and lots of inking all over, including on the clear embellie.. and waaaah laaa..

Our Family- Easter photos
I don't do two page layouts very often.. I used to, but I'm not very good at them anymore. But every now and again a realllly cool 2 pgr sketch grabs my attention and I create one. Here is my take on the Let's Scrap sketch that was posted in May at Memorable Seasons.. I LOVED the fun banner at the top of the sketch and finallllly got around to printing lots of pics.. These were from our Easter dress photo shoot, yes in the backyard.. and I thought the pics turned out really cute, so I wanted to get lots of them on... So here's my take on it..
