Croppin Paradise NSD Blog Hop

Well Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!!! How exciting is that? A special day to celebrate, something that I love and care about, scrapbooking and paper crafting!!! I have to say, ever since I started scrapping, I have found my passion, my creative outlet and my way to preserve family photos and memories.. Well we are in the middle of the Croppin Paradise blog hop that started all here. Make sure that you visit ALL the Croppin Paradise DT blogs so that you can win a SUPER cool prize from the store... they do have the BESTEST prizes ever..

Here are a couple of projects that I created using some of the ultra cool goodies in the Croppin Paradise store.. Which ALSO has a been NSD sale going on!!! check it out.

Here I used the My Mind's Eye Lush line, which is sooo elegant and pretty looking. I LOVE the flocked velvet paper- I cut out the flowers from it. I used both papers and some of the fun bling brads to create this page of my sister and I, the photo was taken last Christmas when she came out for a visit.

A couple of cards used with the My Mind's Eye Lush line:
Jenni Bowlin Projects:
Oh so I am a HUGE fan of Jenni Bowlin papers, embellies, or anything from her lines. The vintage style has the most retro cool colors that always grab my attention and the embellies are sooo cute to add to any project. I LOVE the new banner stickers and letters to create an embellishment or title on my pages or cards. They even come with their own alphas!!! how cool is that???

I also am enjoying the ever cute Jenni Bowlin sew on buttons.. They give lots of fun texture and dimension on pages and LOVE to add some fun thread or floss in the centers to give them an added punch of fun. So you gotta head on over to the store.. It's filled with lots of fun goodies!!!

Well thanks for stopping by, after this head on over to Trish's blog and check it out!!! Hope you get to get scrappy and have a super happy National Scrapbook Day!!!!!

Sledding

I had soooo much fun using this Ad challenge from Croppin Paradise that Joan picked out. oh my gosh when I saw it I was like... open space?? lots of it? and not much to embellish on. But I have to say I am soooo happy with how my page turned out. I really liked just working in a smaller space and leaving lots of open room.. I totally need to do that more, but I forget.. But here is my take on it, LOVE the Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride.. here it is again.

That's My Big Brother

I have to say I ADORE this photo of Austin and Sydney. It was taken after they got off the bus from the first day of school. They were both sooo happy and excited. When I asked them to smile for the picture, Sydney just wrapped her arms around Austin and the smile was sooo sincere.. It melted my heart. I sed the sketch from Let's Scrap that was highlights at Memorable Seasons. I just LOVE this Sassafras line!!! Isn't it sooo fun?? the characters on it are adorable I love the fun colors.. I'm going to be using a ton more of that soon.

Super Stars

I am sooo in love with this fun kit from Scarlet Lime from April.. oh my gosh, bright, fun and happy colors and fun papers, killer embellies, and just makes me smile. Here is my page that I used the April 15th Sketch from Stuck sketches. These photos are from last October taken in a random hallway in Park City. I still love how fun the photos are the kids had a great time taking them.

Berries

This was a really fun page to do. I used Bev's Nature challenge at MSW, which was to use a photo of nature or scenery.. I just fell in love with this tree at Christmas time, it was sooo gorgeous. It was a berry tree and then the family used water to freeze it and create a whimsical wintery scene. I loved seeing it, every time I passed by and finally got out and took some pics of it. So here is my page, and I also used the Croppin Paradise 3/12 sketch. So here's my take.

Soccer Boy

Sorry, more of the Cosmo Cricket joy Ride here. I have almost used it all up, but I just couldn't resist, it is sooo fun and love the cool shapes and the cardboard embellies.. Perfect for boy pages. So here is a page using the Sketchy Thursday 4.22 sketch. I love watching the kids play soccer, and this year it was fun to watch Austin's games esp. Since the kids are getting older, the game moves alot faster, and it fun to watch the kids grow on the field. Austin really does enjoy being out there, and I love his games.

Happy Birthday 2 U

ok. I went crazy with the Cosmo Cricket Material Girl line this weekend, finally broke into it.. I had been waiting to use it.. why? cuz it's just sooo cute and I didn't want to break it up yet. Ever do that? Well here is a card I created with it, using Card Pattens# 61. Such a cool fun sketch, so here's my take on it.

Rainbow Bday

Lovin some of the newest Sassafras Lass, but then again I always do!!! Here is a fun bright card that I created with a sketch from PDSS # 13. I also combined it with Katie's card challenge at MSW to just use a rainbow on a card.. Right when I saw that challenge I knew it.. SASSAFRAS.. always a great fun go to line, esp with cute lil rainbows on it. So here's my card.

Puzzle Swap

Over at Serendipity Scrapbooks, Julie started a VERY cool idea and swap with puzzle pieces. I have to say I had sooo much fun with this project. I was a bit nervous to start, just because I knew these pieces are going to other scrappers and going to be displayed in their homes, so I wanted them to come out just right. Each of us picked our own theme for our puzzles. Then you were given a piece of each other persons puzzle and created a piece for each person. Then the pieces will all be sent to you that are yours. So you will have a complete finished puzzle of your theme, done by 11 other people and 1 made by you. How cool is that?? So here are all the pieces that I created for each person. As you can see there are LOTS of fun themes, colors and embellies for each one. I can NOT wait to see my completed puzzle. (sorry the pics are not the best, they were taken at night)

Sydney Pages

Still catching up with the crop weekend pages. Here are the ones I created all about just Sydney. I have to say the top page, Sweet Love, I just adored these Prima papers and coordinated perfectly with the Jenni Bowlin butterflies. They worked great with Syd's dance outfit photos. I know she is my daughter, but she is gorgeous, I have to say.

My cute lil Princess, used some of that yummy Pink Paislee line.. also used lots of fun ribbons.. I have to say I LOVE the big flowers from the one paper, they are soo fun to just cut out and use. And she just LOVES that fun pink cowgirl hat.. she wears it all the time.

So Spunky.. now I'm pretty sure I don't know how much more girlie this page could get.. pink, flowers, fuffy trim and lots more pink.. I totally had fun with this one and the zebra print papers with perfectly with her brand new school backpack, which I have to say, is very cute, and very her.#1 Racer Chick, used some of an older Serendipity Scrapbook kits for the two above pages. Kristen is very girlie and loves her pink in kits, which makes it easy to throw pages together for Sydney.. I don't even have to think, it's all right there and just needed a photo and boom done.
Love Ya... Used some of the ultra yummy and fun new Sassfras Lass, Ijust LOVE their lines.. and the trims on their papers are sooo fun to deck out your pages. Some random cute photos of Syd taken at Corn Bellys, which she was just hanging out.. She is sooo easy to photograph, and she loves it.

Feel Better

wooo hooo, 2 weeks in a row playing along at 2 sketches 4 you blog, finally I've had a bit more time to get back into challenges. Here is my take on this week's yummy sketch. I've been using the leftovers from last month's kit at Scarlet Lime and love the colors.. totally different from my usual palette.. The large flower is one that was cut out and then crumpled for some fun texture..

Get Well

I always love the fun and sassy card sketches from IC card sketch blog, the latest one, sketch # 63 is up and posted, here is my take on it. I made this card for a request by a friend.

Layouts from My Scrappy Getaway Weekend

Yup, I'm still catching up from posting some pages from when I went to my scrappy girlz weekend in Houston. I guess I shouldn't have taken a break from blogging.. ooopppps. But I'm back up and at it again. The top page is a sketch from Nubia for one of the weekly sketches at Croppin Paradise. The photos are from the Cranberries concert last December in LA, which was amazing!!!

Here is the US page that was on the Cosmo blog last Friday, finally got around to actually putting it on my blog. But love the photo from Jeremy's last birthday. It was supposed to be a photo of just me and him, but Austin couldn't resist and had to get in on it.

Here are 2 pages with the Pink Paislee Valentines line, it was in my stash and much needed to be broken into, can I just say that I LOVE that line... it's just soo fun to use, I think I'm back down to little pieces, just used it all up.

SMITTEN:

Park City: I just LOVE the fun mooses (is that the right way to say more than one moose?) that are out and about in Park City, and the kids love to take pics with them too. I used one of Kristen's mini kits from Serendipity Scrapbooks, I believe it was from January and filled with a fun mix of asst papers and embellies.. so here's my page with it:

Layouts from the Weekend

Slipper Scrappers: Yup, that's my scrappy buddies, Alecia and Andie. When we went to a MSW scrappy crop in Houston, our toes were getting kinda cold. So we walked next door to Kohls and got ourselves some fun slippers to wear. Alecia got the monkeys, Andie the piggies, and I got the cute lil green frogs.. It was soo fun, we wore them all day.

Dive In: Used some more of that super yummy Cosmo Joy Ride. Daiva's challenge at 2SDs was to create a LO with pics telling a story. Well here is Austin last summer learning how to dive in swim class, and he was sooo excited and eager. He kept getting right back up, and even went diving off the board!! way to go lil buddy.
Halloween: Here is a lift of my good scrappy buddy, Alecia's page that she created for the 2SDs challenge and also worked for a scraplift challenge at MSW, where we are both on the DT. So here is my take on her Cathedral page. And BTW I am soo in love with those new yummy Sassfras banner borders!! they ROCK! and make for the best titles!!

Girls Wanna Have Fun: Here are some fun photos that were taken at a friend Tonya's wedding reception. They actually had a photo booth at their wedding and fun gear to dress up in. I grabbed the disco glasses and a foo foo fur.. WAY fun to dress up in, that's me with my good buddy Angie B.

Croppin Paradise 4/19 sketch

Well it's my turn for the weekly sketch challenge over at Croppin Paradise. This one will get ya to use lots of photos, something that I don't do enough of. So I made the challenge for both you and me, to get those photos out on the page, and tell a story. Above is the sketch I created to work with.

Here is my take on the sketch:
I used some of the LYB Gen Z line for it, some of the larger Cosmo Chipboard letters and tiny alphas, which I am seriously just lovin. Hope you play along and can't wait to see your creations!! HAVE FUN!!!

Pretty Girl:

I got done ALOT of scrappin this weekend but I have to say this ended up being my fave page, MUCH more simpler than I ever scrap at all. I used the Scrap Your Crap challenge # 52 Floss on a page, I knew I had some so that meant some friendly hand-sewing, which I has to say is totally relaxing.. I wish I had more time to do it. I also used Inspired Blueprints # 46 for my page. so here is my take on it:

journaling reads:
You are pretty, inside and out. you are beautiful, inside and out. you shine, inside and out. you are a daughter of God, inside and out. You are Sydney.

I {heart} My Family

Always love the new sketches that come out from Sketchy Thursday. They are super yummy and always make my pages turn out the way I like em too. Here is my take on the latest 4.15 sketch they have going on. I think this has to be my new fave family photo, taken back in October of us, random photo at Corn Bellys just hanging out and having some fun...

Kraft It Up

I LOVE my kraft paper, so I LOVE the Kraft it Up blog with super cool challenges with kraft.. Here is my take on the challenge: To use a KRAFT base and a MONOCHROMATIC colour scheme, there is a catch though you CAN NOT use Brown. So I choose blue as my central color to work with. I also combined this with Alecia's Recipe LO challenge- an arrow, 3 flat stickers and one word title, and lifted her page for MSW mini weekend crop going on.

Happy Bday Card

Thought it would be fun to work on some different sized cards, so here is one 4.25x4.25m, a square card using card patterns #60. I also combined it with Laurie's challenge at 2SDs to create a card with left overs from a page, so that's what I did, these are all scraps from a page I created first.

Day 49 Card

well it's been awhile since I've gotten to the 365 cards on the day it actually comes out, but today I did, thanks to sketchy sunday for day # 49.. Here is my spin on the card, the DT did a great job with it, lots of fun ways to go.

Eight Is Great challenge

For the challenge at Noel Mignon blog this week is to use ONLY 8 manufacturers... sounds easy? well I thought so, till I tried.. At first, I was sooo afraid of going over that I then had to add things but then was afraid of how much to add. So I did it: Bazzill (CS), Sassafrass and Cosmo (PPs), Prima (flowers and bling), AC (brads, thickers, stitching rub ons), Jillibean (Journal spot), BG (buttons) and a Jenni Bowlin (butterfly). I always used sketch # 119 from Sketch Inspirations.. Way fun.
