My lovely friend Melanie tagged me with this fun blog award!!!So now I get to pass along the LOVE to a few others whose blogs I love to read... I'm sorry if I don't choose you, but I only am picking five..... so please continue to pass it along also: Alecia, Leah, Heidi, Alise, Kim
So I haven't even been able to scrap much, but here are a few things that I got done. Most of them are for the fun challenges at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking... I'm over the rolo challenge, my own Wild on Wendi challenge- this week I came up with the idea to make a fun scrappy bookmark to use while you read, and also the Scrap-aliftcious challenge... The top page I did of Sydney the other day and is a new fave...
BOOK MARK IT BABY CHALLENGE: make your own scrappy bookmark
SCRAP-ALIFTIOUS CHALLENGE: lifted 1momma (Robin)
ROCKIN ROLO CHALLENGE: Crowns of Bling
CHALLENGE- make a card out of a non square or rectangle shape... so I made crown princess card:
I knew once I got reading the series, I would not be able to put it down... Luckily this weekend, I was feeling a bit under the weather, so reading was perfect... Finished up Twilight, and now onto the second book, New Moon, and at about page 55... Ok so I can NOT get Edward and Bella out of my head, whatsoever... All I could think about today at work, was those two, how interesting Alice seems, love the romance going on, and vampires, and wanting to know more about them.. This is not something that normally I would even read, but I can't stop!!!! This week has CRAZY plans written all over it, and I know I won't get much time to read... so hopefully Sunday will hurry up and get here so I can!!!
For some super, summer, scrappin fun... this weekend there is an online crop going on at Serendipity Scrapbooks... There are already a couple Pre-Crop challenges going on right now, and then the main crop starts on Friday June 27 - 29.... So grab your beach towel and sun screen for an amazing weekend of hot hot fun!! Luckily, you don't actually HAVE to wear your yellow polka dotted bikini... it's optional... LOL:)
I know I'm slow getting on the ball, and have wanted to read it sooo badly since it came out, and have been told by many that I needed to. But with this year and all the craziness that has come with it, I haven't had much time to unwind and read.. But with summer started, the kids playing outside more, and I NEED something to help me unwind and de-stress, I thought it was time to finally start the books. Plus with the next one coming out in not too long, this is the perfect time, right? Well I only started it earlier this week, and can't put it down. I am just in LOVE with the whole concept of the book, and for some odd reason, am slightly obsessed with it. Luckily I already have the other books, so I can keep reading non-stop.. Jeremy was such a sneak, I've had the books for awhile and he actually started reading this one before me.. the nerve!! But now I'm ahead, only on page 200 but that will change by tomorrow and hope to get a ton read this weekend... I just wish the kids would not come ask me a million questions, every time I sit down. How do they know? Syd asked me to read it to her today, but I think it's a BIT over her head..LOL:)
This month for some of my Scrap Attack Scrapbooking projects I got to use the newer line, Archaic, from Basic Grey, and man was it perfect for Austin.... Talk about a kid who is in LOVE with dinosaurs at the moment, and super fun chipboard shapes that are perfect for boy pages.. I just had a blast with it. Even made a 12 page mini album for him with all the pictures from the dinosaur museum that we have taken.. He already LOVES the book.... SO this was perfect....
I love the challenges on the Scrap Faith blog and this one was no different... When I read it I knew I had to do it... The challenge is to document which three lessons are vital for you to pass on to your children or anyone else in your circle of influence. For me I kinda thought about it and came up with these... "If I could teach you... {3 things} i'd want you to learn: 1. Love 2. Faith 3. Be Happy"
Sorry my pic taking of the page is kinda lopsided, but you get the point...
Well I wanted to do something fun for my #100 post, but then I know everyone does that, so I decided to do something kinda different... Seeing as how I am such a huge Depeche Mode fan and have been listening to the 101 albums alot lately.... that is one concert that would been AMAZING to go to, but at the time I was only in junior high with no one to take me... but in honor of that... here is post 101.......and like Dave says... "Good evening, Pasadena"

Ok, so I have completely been a blogging slacker... I haven't blogged in quite awhile, and I haven't read any blogs in awhile.. So I need to get on the ball... Kinda have had a lot going on lately that has been keeping me a bit more than stressed out, and just trying to deal with it all right now. Plus I have been working more, it's the end of the fiscal year coming up for me, so that means more end of the year stuff to wrap up and finish.. But I have scrapped a bit to stay sane, here's what I've been up to. The bottom are the Mother's and Father's rolos that I worked on for our swap at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking, with some fun and VERY talented ladies there....
Ok I think I found one of my new most FAVORITE boy lines EVER!!! For some of my DT projects, at Scrap Attack Scrapbooking, I got to play with the Crate Static Line, and oh my gosh, can I say just the coolest, most handsome, boy line ever??? The colors are my fave boy colors, kind of a muted, distressed look, and are perfect for fun, on the go, beach, boy adventure and vacation photos. totally versatile... Just had soo much fun with this line. I LOVE everything about it....
Today I was a card making machine. We had our neighborhood church service auction, so I choose to donate 2 sets of homemade cards. I actually made 2 exact sets of 10 cards for each auction, and made them all this afternoon. I had sooo much fun making them. I wonder if realizing you are doing this as a service for someone else, makes you that much more excited about making them??? (YES I know.... totally horrible grammar) But, it was fun, and fun to see the looks on their faces when they won them... I got what I wanted, free babysitting!!! What more can a girl ask for??
This week for Serendipity Scrapbooks Tuesday's Totally techniques, it was my turn, so I decided to show how to make an altered ceramic tile. I LOVE this project and have made several. This one if for my cute, lil nephew, Ryder for his room. They make for perfect home decor items, great for grandmas, and a way to highlight any photos- and can be placed on a shelf or plate rack for display...
Ok, so I LOVE that Flobots song :"Handlebars," but since we aren't to that point of not using the handlebars, I thought I will tweet the title a bit!!! I used a fun sketch from Lauri, at Scrapattack Scrapbooking and used the SUPER cute and FUN, Pink Paislee line for these recent photos of Sydney learning how to ride her bike.... She is just soo excited and is now always asking to ride her bike.... She had one minor run in- (a "accident" with another biker in the middle of the street) but she just back on and rode away. So that was good...LOL.... Also got to play around with some of the Crate Static Line for my DT ScrapAttack projects and can't wait to share those!!!! All I can say is that, Austin is going to be getting a ton of pages for his book!!!!
I just made this fun acrylic album for Austin's 1st grade memories with the Dream Street Art Nouveau PPs from Serendipity Scrapbooks... I wanted a fun way to capture all of Austin's memories from this year, and he just was thrilled to add his own handwriting in the journaling, which is one of my fave parts... We are soo proud of all he has accomplished this year, and has worked so hard, and his reading has really jumped with improvement.. He still loves school, riding the bus, or of course, recess and friends... But I'm glad he is still my lil buddy!!!!
Got to use the Dream Street Art Nouveau for the DT work for Serendipity Scrapbooks, just love the deep, rich colors, and since I LOVE to use brown anyways, they were perfect. Love how the blue/ turquoise really just POPS off the page.... Sooo fun....
